It’s summer time and that means loads of water play. Playing in the sprinklers, spraying each other with the hose, water balloon fights, and visiting the local swimming holes and pool is what will keep my boys busy these next couple of months. Of course, when Stride Rite asked if Timmy wanted a pair of their new Phibian water-friendly shoes to try out, we thought they would be a perfect fit for our summer activities.

The Made2Play Phibian is changing the way families do warm weather. In this versatile sneaker-sandal, toddlers and kids go effortlessly from sand to sea, lawn to lake, sidewalk to sprinkler, and everywhere in between, all in the same pair of shoes. With flexible, lightweight outsoles that grip like a sneaker and breathable, quick-dry, machine washable uppers like a sandal, days are filled with more fun and less hassle.
Timmy has wanted to wear his new shoes every day since we received them. He was excited about the design – the bright yellow and blue accents caught his eye immediately – while I can rest easy knowing he can wear them any time he is outside; rain or shine, during water play or not. The Phibian has been a great alternative to the flip-flops that Timmy tends to lose or throw off while outside.

I accidentally ordered the Phibian a size too big for Timmy. I know he will grow into them before summer is over, but in the meantime they are a bit loose and gave him a blister or two. That has certainly not stopped him from wearing them every chance he gets, but he has taken to wearing his Phibians with socks here in the house. heehee (That is our only complaint, which was caused by mistake. To avoid the same result, I would definitely recommend purchasing the exact size your child wears, so they fit snug and don’t rub.)
