Our National Walmart Ad for Johnson & Johnson #SmartSavings

A couple of weeks ago my youngest boys and I got to participate in something very exciting… We had a photography crew, a hair and makeup artist, and a team from both Johnson & Johnson and Walmart take over my master bathroom, transforming it into a studio, for almost a full day.

You may be wondering why we agreed to this invasion. Well, we were asked to make an appearance in an National ad booklet for Walmart, featuring our favorite Johnson & Johnson baby care and oral care products. Of course I was more than eager due to the simple fact that Johnson’s Baby products were included!

Here’s the exact shot chosen for the Johnson’s Baby products ::

Timmy was touted as being an awfully adorable model! I agree.

As part of my assignment as a “model” I was to go to my local Walmart (not hard being that I’m a Walmart Mom) and purchase the products that were featured with us in our part of the ad. So, I set out to find the Johnson’s Baby Lotion, Johnson’s Head to Toe Baby Wash, Listerine, and Reach toothbrushes for my older kiddos.

I discovered that the Johnson’s Baby products were in the Personal Care section of Walmart, as well as the Baby section. This was something I hadn’t paid much attention to before and was kind of puzzled by. I guess it makes sense though…

Not only have my babies always bathed in these fabulous products, but my older kiddos use them and I’ve even been caught using them. The Bedtime Bubble Bath & Wash is one of my favorites! The Baby Lotion has been a part of our nightly bedtime routine for years.

Not too long ago I wrote about our trip to the dentist and our commitment to good dental hygiene. Listerine and Reach toothbrushes are helping us build stronger and healthier teeth.

Anyhow, with the coupons, all of the items I purchased were quite a steal!

We took lots of pictures of the whole shopping experience and share them on our Google+ page. The ad will be mailed this week, so keep an eye out for it. However, if you do not receive the ad booklet in your mailbox this week, you can print some great coupons to save on Listerine, Johnson’s Baby Lotion, and Desitin products.

An Easter Basket for Baby

Looks like I’m ahead of the game for once. That’s right, folks – no procrastinating going on here! Timmy’s Easter basket is all put together. Three days before Easter, I might add. Woot!

If you’re anything like me, you are just putting Easter baskets together for your kiddos. If you do that sort of thing, that is. Honestly? This basket – see it over there – is the very first one I’ve ever put together for any one of my kiddos. Shhh.

I think it’s sorta cute, if I do say so myself, and I put it all together for about $20 at Walmart! They really do have some great stuff for the stuffing of those baskets. Here’s a cost breakdown for this one::

· Easter Basket and Grass $3.33
· Plastic Little People Easter Egg $5.00
· Plush Puppy, er… Bunny $3.00
· Rubber Duckie $1.00
· The Story of Easter board book $6.27

Now, if you noticed there wasn’t any candy in that basket, do not be alarmed – I’m not sick! Remember, the basket is for Timmy. BUT, my older kiddos and I have been noshing on plenty of Easter candy, thanks to our friends at Wonka! Here are some of the goodies we’ve had a chance to try and would totally recommend::

· DoubleYummy Gummies
· Wonka Exceptionals Chocolate Waterfall Eggs
· Wonka Exceptionals Scrumptious Chocolate Eggs
· SweeTARTS Jelly Beans
· And, of course, all of our favorites like SweeTARTS, Gobstoppers, Spree and Bottlecaps in little packets perfect for filling plastic eggs.

Walmart is a great place to purchase Wonka’s sweet treats. But, then again, you already knew that, right?

Prepare Your Easter Meal With Savings From Walmart

Easter is this weekend and for us that generally means a great big celebration, with lots of good food. Ham, a green bean casserole, warm crescent rolls and mashed potatoes are generally on the menu. Walmart, of course, has everything we need to prepare a huge feast!

We actually had the opportunity, thanks to Walmart, to put together a pre-Easter meal just this last weekend, with all the fixin’s. We were able to purchase the following ingredients to feed our family of eight (yes, only eight, since Timmy can’t eat anything yet), with plenty left over, for well under $30::

  • A Spiral-Sliced Half Ham
  • 2 cans of Pillsbury Big & Flaky Crescent Rolls
  • 2 16 oz cans of Green Giant Canned Cut Green Beans for a mini Green Bean Casserole
  • Fresh Strawberries for dessert

We had lots of yummy ham left over for sandwiches and all of our bellies were satisfied!

If the traditional Easter feast isn’t exactly what you’re looking to prepare, visit Walmart.com for some scrumptious ideas, including savory side dish recipes like the one mentioned above.

What will you be preparing for your Easter feast this weekend?

Walmart Lighting Survey

As a Walmart Mom, I am often asked to give my opinion and thoughts on just about anything Walmart related. Well, this time I have been asked to also gather your opinions, as well, on the lighting in the Walmart where you shop.

Walmart is committed to making your shopping experience the best it can be. But, they need some help… Do you think you can spare 5 minutes by answering a few questions in the Walmart Lighting Survey? I promise, it won’t take you more than 5 minutes.

Much appreciated, friends!
