Happy Birthday to Our Julz-Bee!

Today you turn eight. {Our baby girl is EIGHT!}

I remember the day you were born, like it was yesterday. The first thing I made sure of, seconds after I heard your first cry, was that you weren’t ugly. {giggle} Everyone present said you were beautiful. And, oh, they were right. You are beautiful!

Your energy brings joy to all around you.

Your smile is contagious.

Your laugh is like music to our ears.

You are beauty.

Happy birthday, Julia!

Happy 6th Birthday to You, Joshua!

Joshie,

When Daddy and I look at you we see passion, drive, and great concern and love for your family. A love that runs deep. We pray that this, hand in hand with your love for the Lord, will guide your passions into service for Him, as you grow in Him.

You are focused and know what you want, hopeful, and eager to take on new challenges. Not to mention, a total goofball! It’s very clear to us that you have every desire to succeed in all that you set out to do, making you less than content with failure. Your winning spirit is truly contagious.

We love you, Bud, and know that this year will be one of filled with many good things! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Joshua

Seven: One More Than Six

We are proud to say that baby number seven is now dancing in my womb. God knew that our family was not yet complete and has surprised us with a most precious gift. There are truly no words to describe our joy and excitement, although I will say we are VERY caught off guard by this news.

“Children are a gift from the LORD, the fruit of the womb, a reward.” – Psalm 127:3

Disney Social Media Moms Celebration

I am still recovering from a magical time in sunny freezing-cold Florida at the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration, aka #DisneySMMoms… Home with my kiddos has never been so sweet!

Being one of the small percentage of moms attending the conference sans family (not by choice, mind you… I wish we could have afforded for all eight of us to spend a week at Disney World together), I was able to enjoy some fun girl-time with some of my fellow solo mom friends – Tara, Sue, Audrey, and so many more.

Plenty can be said about this fabulous conference/celebration, and I will get to all of that, but for now I hope you’ll enjoy a glimpse into my play time.

I always regret not taking more pictures while with my friends at events like this… For more, check out the Disney Social Media Moms Flickr stream, a picture of two of my closest friends and me, and one of some lucky moms with Chris Brogan. Can you see Alyssa and Colin peeking from behind in that last one? Miss you already, girls!
