Pound Cake

By Christine

I had some of this scrumptious cake in Bentonville and begged for the recipe. Thank you, Christie!

Today my twins helped me make this cake for my birthday… It’s super easy and affordable! Let me tell you, this cake is quite the treat!

here’s what you need:

2 cups sifted flour
2 sticks butter, softened
2 cups sugar
5 eggs
1 Tablespoon REAL Vanilla

here’s what you do:

Grease and flour tube or bundt pan and preheat oven to 325 degrees. Beat butter and then cream with sugar. Next alternate flour and eggs, then add vanilla. Spoon in pan. Bake for 1 hour. Cool for 10 minutes then remove from pan to finish cooling.

Happy Birthday Christine! I know I’m a day late! 🙂

I wanted to tell you that I just decided to make this cake for this evening and I managed to do the whole thing and then FORGET to add the vanilla. Whoops. I yanked it back out of the oven and stirred it in but who knows how it will taste! I’ll let you know! 🙂
