Movie Night! {Giveaway} #PopCameraAction

I am always amazed at the many opportunities that come my way here on From Dates to Diapers. The latest, but certainly not the least, of these opportunities is my partnership with Pop Secret, through Mom Spark Media, as a Pop Secret Mom.

What is a Pop Secret Mom?

Well, my main job – if you can even really call it that – is to tell you about the Pop! Camera! Action! Sweepstakes where you can enter to win a gaggle of goodies and even have a chance at an At-Home 3D Theater!

What makes this job fun is that one of my tasks was to plan a movie night with my family. (Boy, do I love what I do!) Of course, we decided to watch one of our favorites – How to Train Your Dragon – which is up for an Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film. But, first, we had some shopping to do. And, what was on the list? Popcorn, of course!

When our movie night finally arrived, we had a house full of kiddos. Not entirely unlike any other night, but in this case we had some extra kiddos here! Take a look:

Guess what? I get to give away a Pop Secret Prize Pack, so you and your family can have your very own Movie Night! (Yet another reason why I love my job!) This prize pack includes a $50 Visa Gift Card, Pop Secret Popcorn (3 pack, Movie Theater Butter), and a box of Raisinets.

Entering is easy… Just leave me a comment, before 9pm on February 26th, telling me what your family’s favorite movie is and why!

I am a Pop Secret Mom sponsored blogger, courtesy of Mom Spark Media.  Thoughts are my own.

We like the Lord of the Rings trilogy because of the interaction among the characters. There was romance, action, and moments of comedy.

  5. Jean D. says

I think our favorite family movie is the original The In-Laws. Peter Falk and Alan Arkin are perfect together in that movie. We quote lines from them nearly every day.

    Thanks for a great giveaway!

  6. Paula Hafner says

We love Elf! It’s something we all enjoy even my 3 year old. We watch it a couple of time a year.

  7. OlyveOyl says

We have had a tradition since I was little (and it still continues) that involves Christmas Eve dinner (we switch places each year as a name is drawn) and watching It’s A Wonderful Life – then we all head to Midnight Mass, have breakfast when we get home and we always got to open one present as Santa came while we were at Mass. Now that I am much older, I see the importance of treasuring our life and the lives of others we may be able to make a difference. It is a GREAT movie!

Favorite family movie here is Mary Poppins.
At least it has been for the past 2 weeks – it’s totally up to change on a whim.

We introduced it to our 2 and 4 yr old sons a couple weeks ago and it’s so sweet hearing them belting out the songs we grew up loving. And really, who wouldn’t love to hear “Let’s go fly a kite…” a hundred times a day?! :)

My entire family loves Harri Poter franchise. Of course first I encouraged them to read the book series because I thought that the movies were a bit too dark and scary for them. Once they were old enough we started watching the HP movies. Now we are huge HP book and movie fans!

  13. Pauline M says

We all love National Treasure! Can’t explain it for the kids, but for me, I’m a huge Nicolas Cage fan!

  19. Terry Mac says

We are a family that grew up on Walt Disney, and have continued the legacy! All Disney movies (especially the animated ones) are special favorites! My husband and I love Bambi as our all time favorite, but my kids’ favorite is 101 Dalmations because their grandfather has always owned a Dalmation (current dog’s name is Toutou–for ‘out/out damn spot!’) that they love to play with and run with, so they seem to identify with the Dalmations even more!

I’m sorry I forgot to add the why part to my answer. My 4 year old has loved little mermaid since she was 2 and thinks her and ariel are twins and the boys just love the idea of a car turning into a robot and being able to talk and walk.

  26. Geoff K says

I’d have to say our favorite movie is “The Sound of Music” since both the adults and kids love it equally, and it’s pure escapism to just get caught up in the stories and songs. We never get tired of it and watch it during our movie nights at least three or four times a year. Thanks!
