Ever watch a movie on the ceiling? At the Planetarium in the Griffith Observatory you can do just that. Only this time, it’ll be about the stars and planets of our galaxy, answering the question “How did we get our understanding of the cosmos?”
Centered in the Universe begins with Ptolomy in 2nd century Alexandria and takes the student through the ages to Galileo to Hubble and beyond. It’s a visually stimulating journey through the Milky Way that children of all ages will enjoy!
Our vacation to Southern California was officially kicked off by a visit to the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles. We arrived just in time to view the last Planetarium showing of Centered in the Universe before we enjoyed the beautiful sunset.
