My Breakfast Casserole

After I had one of my babies (I can’t remember which one – there are too many) one of our friends brought us a casserole like the one I made here. I couldn’t find the recipe any where, but this is about as close as one can come to creating that fantastic breakfast. I can eat this any time of the day!

Brown 2 lbs sausage (I use a HOT sausage). Set aside.
Beat together 8 eggs, 2.5 cups milk, 1 teaspoon dry mustard, and a few dashes of Tabasco Sauce. Set aside.

Cube 1 small round of Sourdough Bread, and line bottom of 9 x 13 casserole dish with cubes.
Layer cooked sausage over cubed bread.
Top with 2 cups shredded cheese (low-fat tastes just as good!).
Pour egg mixture evenly over the top.

For best results, let sit overnight in the refrigerator.

Bake at 350° for about 1 hour.

    I’m not a fan of sour dough, is there another kind of bread I can use that will taste good in this?

    I made that exact recipe yesterday for breakfast! Since I always make it the night before, it is such an easy go-to breakfast when we have company!
