Fall Living Room Decor {On a Budget}

By Christine

It seems that as soon as Halloween is over, everywhere you turn, it’s Christmas! While I love Christmas decorations as much as the next girl, I try to savor the flavor of Fall right to the very end. Much like my beloved Pumpkin Spice Latte, it’s good till the last drop.

Decorating for Thanksgiving or company can seem like a daunting task, but a few small (and inexpensive) touches can go a long way. One of the easiest ways to decorate for the season is to create a natural and warm coffee table vignette.

Fall is kind to the decorator on a budget. Colorful leaves and branches cut from a tree in the yard, acorns found at the park, and dried moss or grasses all look beautiful when brought indoors!

To create my coffee table vignette, I gathered my treasures from outside, grabbed a few things I already had (the white pitcher and vintage books) and made a quick trip to Walmart for the perfect finishing touches.

A pretty little pumpkin found on clearance was one of my favorite finds. The pumpkin was fine as it was, but I was really wanting to try something crafty so I made my way to the craft section to look at acrylic paints. I found the perfect shades of white and grey for my little pumpkin.

Side Note: If you haven’t wandered the aisles of the craft section at your local Walmart, you must! They have all the crafting essentials of the large craft and hobby stores at a fraction of the price!

While there, I also picked up a glass candle holder from the Better Homes and Gardens line, as well as a Mainstays mulled cider scented candle…it smells incredible!

After a bit of playing around, I have a beautiful little coffee table that lends a warm welcome to Thanksgiving, and guests alike. In fact, you can even use this little arrangement on your Thanksgiving table!

Are you taking the time, like I am, to savor the last few weeks of Fall decorating?
