Back to School Events You Don’t Want to Miss

I just got off the phone with the head honchos at Walmart – John Forrest, Phillip Oaks (who leads back-to-college for, and Stephanie Reibling (she’s the vice president, merchandising for home management at Walmart U.S.) They had some great news about how Walmart is bringing us some great savings this Back to School season.

As Stephanie said, just moments ago, “Walmart has done their homework, but I’ll give you the cliffnotes.” I’d like to bring you those “cliffnotes” now, since it’s just too exciting to keep to myself!

As we all know, Walmart is dedicated to make shopping as convenient as possible while delivering every day low prices. That’s the biggest reason why we all shop there, right? Well, they have gone out of their way to make sure this is the case this month.

On August 1st you can expect to see Rollbacks tailored to the college student. Prepare to save money on top electronics, dorm décor, and school essentials.

Here are just a few of the planned Rollbacks:

  • Apple iPad 4 with Retina display 16gb in black or white for $349 (originally $399)
  • Dell Intel Core i3 laptop bundle with a wireless mouse, one-year McAfee LiveSafe Antivirus and a laptop sleeve for $399 (more than a $50 savings)
  • Canon 2920 wireless printer for $39
  • Mainstays Metal Arm Futon for $99 (originally $124)
  • Plus, loads of gift card and bonus offers

Then, on August 4th, will be hosting a CyberMonday special online savings event. This year will be bigger and better than past years, with 400 blockbuster back-to-school deals! Expect to see your some of your favorite items with prices that can’t be beat at the biggest sales day of the year, outside of the Holiday season. With savings of more than 10% in most cases, averaging a 30% savings, and in some instances savings of up to 60%.

There’s more! Walmart plans to host Sales Tax Holidays – online, as well as in-stores – with zero or reduced sales tax (as allowed by state)!

Walmart – online, in-stores, and on your mobile device – is certainly the way to go this Back to School season!
